  • Elasticity : Companies can grow and earn by computing their need accordingly. It benefits from the fact that the first such investment was seen on local infrastructure like that, now it is closed altogether, which gives companies a great advantage.

  • Pay per use : Compute resources are measured in granular level. So that users have to pay only the resources and workloads they use.

  • Workload resilience : Cloud Service providers often use redundant resources to obtain resilient storage and with that, they can continue to carry on the important work of users, which are indigenous in multi-global regions.

  • Migration Flexibility : The organization can transfer some workload from one cloud platform to another according to its own needs, which also saves money without any problems and automatically.

History of Cloud Computing

If we talk about Cloud computing, then it was born in the 1960s. When the computer industry assumed computing according to its potential benefits according to a service income utility. But earlier there was lack of both computing, connectivity and banwidth, so that it was not possible to implant the computing according to a utility. This was not possible until the availability of Internet bandwidth in a big way until the 1990’s. After that, it is possible to think of computing as a service.

Salesforce first implemented commercially enterprise SaaS in 1990. After that in 2002, AWS did, which provided many services like online storage, machine learning, computation. Today, there are many small providers, such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, which are collaborating with the AWS to provide cloud-based service to other individuals, small businesses and global enterprises.

Cloud Computing vs. Distributed Computing

1) Goals

If I talk about Distributed Computing, it provides collaborative resource sharing by connecting with other users and resources. Distributed Computing always tries to provide administrative scalability, number of processes and users, and geographical scalability (the maximum distance between the nodes in the distributed system).

If I talk about Cloud Computing, then it believes in delivering service on the on-demand environment, so that the goal can be achieved. With this, it also believes in providing greater scalability and transparency, security, monitoring, and management. Cloud Computing is delivered with services transparency in the cloud without physical implementation.

2) Types

Distributed Computing is divided into three types

Distributed Information Systems
The main purpose of these systems is to distribute this information across different servers across different communication models such as RMI and RPC.

Distributed Pervasive Systems

These systems are made primarily with embedded computer devices such as portable ECG monitors, wireless camera, PDAs and mobile devices. These systems can be identified by their instability in comparison to any traditional distributed systems.

Cloud Computing is divided into four types

1. Private Cloud is

such a cloud infrastructure that hosts the whole application of one particular IT organization, so that it is over its complete control data so that there is no possibility of security breach being equal.

2. Public Cloud

hosts another type of cloud infrastructure of this kind, which are later publicized. There is no control of users in such a cloud nor can they see infrastructure. For example, both Google and Microsoft themselves own cloud infrastructure and later access public.

3. Community Cloud

This is the multi-tenant cloud infrastructure in which cloud is shared between other IT organizations.

4. Hybrid Cloud

These combinations are made by 2 or more different types of clouds (Private, Public and Community), where Hybrid Cloud infrastructure is built where each cloud remains a single entity, but all the clouds combine to create multiple deployment models. Those fades are diminished.

In Distributed Computing, the task is distributed to different computers, so that computational functions can be performed at the same time with the help of Remote Method Invocations, the on-demand network model is used in the Cloud Computing Systems which provides access Is the shared pool of computing resources.

Types of Cloud Computing

Cloud computing can be divided into three main sections, which are: IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

1) Infrastructure as a service (IaaS)

These services are of self-service models, which are used to manage monitoring, accessing and infrastructure, from any remote location.

Examples – Servers, Firewalls, Routers, CDNs

2) Platform as a service (PaaS)

It provides a line of a self-service module of software developers to manage computing infrastructure from Centralized IT operations.

Examples – Email services: Gmail, Outlook.com

3) Software as a service (SaaS)

SaaS accesses the Web to deliver an application that is managed by third-party vendors and whose user interface can be accessed only from the client.

Cloud Computing has changed the entire computing industry. It has changed the look of businesses in the very beginning and IT infrastructure too. It provides many benefits for Hardware and Software which seemed to be impossible for some years back. Now a virtual machine needs just a few minutes to run. Cloud Computing has changed the look of companies and businesses. This has now become the first choice of all because if one does business properly, planning, strategy and business properly, then it will be successful. And scientist are doing much more research than to make it even better.
